October 2017: A Big Month for DPX
October is upon us, and Fall is getting started here in the great state of Michigan! The temperatures have cooled down, football is back, and we're ramping up for one of our busiest months since DPX was launched at the end of 2016.
If you're interested in keeping up with a few of the things we've got coming up, here’s a quick overview:
Oct. 6 Investigation of the Kempf House for Ann Arbor Historical Society.
Oct. 27 Presentation for Redford Township Leisure Services at Redford Marquee.
Oct. 28 investigation of the West Canfield Historic District, with Live-streamed DVR cameras on the Detroit Paranormal Expeditions Facebook page.
Oct. 31 segment on WDIV Channel 4 News Uniquely Detroit.
We’re so excited for this month and all the things coming up. We can’t thank Ann Arbor Historical Society and Redford Township Leisure Services enough for allowing us to do presentations and share our experiences and findings with others who are interested in this field. If you can’t make it to the events, keep an eye on our Facebook page because we are planning to stream the presentations via Facebook live.
Another thing we can’t wait for is our first-annual Halloween party at Rusted Crow. This is an event you won’t want to miss! Tickets are only $20, and you get a drink ticket as well as entry to the costume contest. If you’ve got one of the best costumes in town, you may even make a few bucks! Last but certainly not least is our investigation in Detroit’s West Canfield Historic district. The home we’re investigating dates back to 1894 and is currently being renovated by the owner, who plans to turn the building into six apartments. We visited recently to map the place out and plan for our investigation, and the building is nothing short of amazing. There is a lot of original wood work though out, and we were feeling energy when we were there just visiting. Be sure to watch our Facebook page around 9 p.m. on Oct. 28 to watch a live-stream of the DVR cameras in the building!
